About me
My career began at a grocery shop in the summer of 2002. It was a seasonal job, just like any other, with each day bustling with activity. Hundreds of customers streamed in daily, each with unique requests but all asking the same question: “Hey, what’s the best fresh stuff today?”. It was fun to tailor my answer around each customer, and I had a lot of fun making them happy with different answers to the same questions.
I was fortunate to discover my passion and dedication for work at a young age. At that time I was just in mastering the art of slicing watermelons perfectly in half. Though it may sound silly, it was a spectacle that delighted customers. Through this experience, I learned that enjoying quality time at work is achievable and today I still prioritize this principle, aiming to savor both my work and personal life fully.
In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities like backcountry ski, climbing and kitesurf. The shoots in this page are some of best picture I took in recent years. The first at the top has loads of filters applied to it, but it was a show storm during daytime. Wind gusts over 100km/h made the surface snow extremely hard the flakes dragged by the wind were basically flowing like little rivers.
The other winter shoots are from daily trips on the snow, either with my brother or solo. The climb on the glacier it’s actually a summer shoot. We were climbing up Mount Ortler, 3900m, though we’ve tackled several peaks in that area over 3000m - in summer and winter. Climbing has been a passion of mine since youth, and it’s an incredibly bonding experience that I encourage more people to explore.
I lived in Italy until 2010, then in France, Wales, England, The Netherlands, Germany and Sweden - to either work or study. This is my education:

---|---|---|---|---|
2013 | 2017 | Oxford University, UK | PhD (DPhil) in Engineering Science | |
2012 | 2013 | Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France | MSc in Computational Mechanics | |

In The Netherlands, I stumbled upon kitesurfing and fell in love with it. I’m a total newbie at it, my first dive into water sports, but it’s a ton of fun, especially with the Duchies who make it even more fun with the post-kite sessions!
I’m also the proud dad of a little adventurer. This tiny Gulliver shares our passion for travel. Mr. X - that’s how the nurses called him at the hospital since we couldn’t settle on a name - has been keeping us up at night, but he fills our days with big smiles and laughter.
